Biological Condition Index Development for the Truckee River Benthic Macroinvertebrate Assemblage

The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) has set a goal to: “Use
biological indicators to provide an overall assessment of ecological condition and
monitor trends for effectively managing the cumulative stressors to the Truckee River”
(Truckee River Workgroup 2003).
