In response to the shift from command and control to watershed based planning, a revolutionary watershed decision support system called Watershed Analysis Risk Management Framework (WARMF) was developed by Systech Engineering under sponsorship from Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). It is a tool designed to support the watershed approach. It guides stakeholders to develop and evaluate water quality management alternatives for a river basin. It takes them through a series of steps and presents them with information in a logical manner so that they can understand their watershed and make informed decisions.
